A perfect egg-cocktail recipe for Easter Sunday!
This delicious drink was created in 1887 by Jerry Thomas. It is famously named as coffee cocktail because it looks like a coffee, but actually it does not actually contain any coffee!
- 1 oz. Cognac
- 2 oz. tawny Port
- ½ oz. simple syrup (1:1)
- 1 whole egg
- Garnish: grated nutmeg
Add all ingredients to an ice-filled shaker and shake very thoroughly. Strain twice into a chilled rocks glass. Garnish with some grated nutmeg.
